Missions
The Missions Department exists to raise the awareness, passion commitment, and participation in missions work at Woodstream Church. To achieve these goals, we will encourage members to participate in short-term mission trips, correspond with missionaries, and support missionaries with prayers and special needs; host missions conferences every two years; highlight a missionary every month; publish a missions newsletter, and send out a full-time missionary to the field.
Our Mission
- To be a blessing to all citizens of the world (Genesis 12:1-3).
- To fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:46-49, John 20:21).
- To bring all peoples to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ (Romans 10:13-15, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23, John 20:21).
Our Goals
- To prepare, equip and support our home and cross-cultural missionaries.
- To create opportunities for members to get involved in mission work.
- To identify, train, counsel, and send out long-term missionaries.
Short-Term/Long-Term Projects
This ministry is designed to keep us up-to-date on what is going on in the lives of the missionaries whom the church supports throughout the world. We correspond with the families of our missionaries, encouraging them with cards and letters. The short-term missions team targets a foreign country/locale for the purpose of introducing the indigenous people to Christ. Contacts: Lawrence and Dorothy Williams.
