New To Woodstream

We are delighted to have you worship with us!  We want to know how we can be of service to you.  It is our prayer that this time of worship will be the highlight of your week.  Hopefully you have already experienced the excitement of fellowship which is growing –    not only numerically – but also in a deeper, meaningful way in relationship with Jesus Christ.  Our church is made up of people from all walks of life and many different denominational backgrounds.

We hope you will find this church to be a place where both your relationship with the Lord and your relationships with other believers will grow stronger and more meaningful. 

We desire to get to know you.  Please introduce yourself to us.  A “Welcome Home” folder is available from any usher or in the atrium.  Inside the welcome folder you will find a “Let’s Get Acquainted” card.  Please complete the card and hand it to an usher or place it in the offering plate.

If you are ready to make Woodstream your church home, each worship service concludes with an “invitation” during which people desiring to make public decisions regarding the Lord Jesus and the church are encouraged to come forward and share their decisions with a minister.  Each person is then escorted to a nearby room where they discuss their decision in more detail with a counselor and schedule a follow-up home visit.  Those who desire to join this church may do so in one of the following ways:

·          By making a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and testifying to that by baptism.

·          By transfer of membership from another church.

·          By “statement” that you previously were a member of another church in good standing.

·          By believer’s baptism when the candidate for membership is saved but needs to be baptized.

·          By “watchcare” as an associate member for believers who wish to retain membership in another state.

When and if you do decide to come to one of our Sunday morning services, please stay a few minutes afterward and join our Pastor and the Welcome Team in the church lounge for “Woodstream at a Glance”. This is a quick opportunity for you to meet us, ask questions, and learn more about us. “Woodstream at a Glance” meets only after our 10:45 a.m. worship service.
